According to Patrushev, the United States is profiting by increasing the capacity of the military-industrial complex, dictating to its allies the conditions for the acquisition of specific types of weapons.
Thus, he cited the example of Estonian Prime Minister Kai Kallas, who announced an increase in taxes in the state in order to increase defense spending.
He noted that the prime minister is forced to commit this “act of political suicide,” since members of the alliance must submit to “bloc” discipline by increasing military spending.
