According to him, there are citizens who receive Russian citizenship in violation of migration legislation and subsequently connect their lives with the criminal environment.

“In order to ensure national security, I ask you to order a full check of the passports of the Russian Federation issued to persons granted citizenship of the Russian Federation over the past ten years,” the appeal says.

Sukharev added that if violations are identified, the possibility of canceling the decision on granting citizenship to a person should be considered, as well as identifying and holding accountable officials involved in granting citizenship to persons and who used illegal schemes and other methods.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow reported that 42 thousand migrants were deported from the capital during the year.
