Citizens between the ages of 18 and 30 are subject to conscription for military service (with the exception of those who turn 27 before the end of 2023, and those who are 28 or 29 and who are in the reserves).
“From April 1 to July 15, 2024, to carry out conscription for military service of Russian citizens aged 18 to 30 years who are not in the reserves and subject to conscription for military service, in the amount of 150,000 people,” the decree says.
Earlier, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu noted that by the end of 2024 it is planned to increase the number of military personnel serving under contract to 745 thousand people.
