“In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Group of Forces occupied more advantageous positions,” the report says.
According to the department, the Russian Armed Forces inflicted defeat on the Ukrainian army in the areas of the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Chasov Yar, Krasnoe, Bogdanovka, Kleshcheevka and Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk People's Republic.
The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to more than 300 military personnel.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a group strike with high-precision long-range air-launched weapons against energy infrastructure facilities and the gas production industry of Ukraine.
