The Easter egg hunt is taking place throughout France this Easter weekend. Like every year, millions of families will try to find the treats left by the bells and the Easter bunnies. This is the case in Toulouse, where Europe 1 went on a chocolate hunt in the garden of a Merville castle on the outskirts of the town of roses.

“I think I have five!”, concentrated Jonathan and his two brothers hope to leave with as many chocolate eggs as possible and to achieve this the three boys have decided to follow the bells and the Easter bunnies who hide the treats . In the labyrinth alleys adjoining the castle everyone joins in the game, even the parents. “As soon as we see some, we tell them a little bit about the area where we need to look, ultimately we were planning to stay an hour, but we’re probably going to stay there a little longer,” says one of the adults.

Fun that transcends generations

To have fun in the castle garden, you don't need to have a child or be one. Arnaud and his partner also came to hunt for chocolates. “We train for when we have children. But it’s also to have a good time walking in the park enjoying the sun and if we find eggs, that’s a little extra,” says Arnaud.
