Due to issues surrounding factional political funding parties, the Liberal Democratic Party's executive committee has ordered approximately 40 people, including Abe faction executives and members of Congress who have failed to record income and expenditure reports of more than 5 million yen in five years, to the party discipline committee. We have made adjustments to dispose of it. Among Abe faction executives, we are considering recommending that the most severe punishment be to leave the party.

Regarding this issue, the Liberal Democratic Party's executive committee has been considering whether to take action against 85 members, including those who received kickbacks or otherwise had their income and expenditure reports omitted.

As a result, four senior members of the Abe faction, including former Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Shioya, former Chairman of the Policy Research Institute Shimomura, former Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Nishimura, and former House of Councilors Secretary-General Seko, were among those who discussed the handling of kickbacks. The Party Disciplinary Committee has begun making arrangements to dispose of a total of approximately 40 members of the Abe and Nikai factions who owed more than 5 million yen in undocumented claims over the five-year period.

The policy is to make punishments for Abe faction leaders more severe, with the most severe punishment being the second of eight levels, ``recommendation to leave the party,'' and the next ``recommendation to leave the party'' based on factors such as their role in the faction and amount of kickbacks. We are considering punishments such as ``suspension of qualifications,'' ``non-official recognition in elections,'' and ``reprimand.''

On the other hand, Secretary-General Motegi is considering measures such as issuing a warning to mid-level and young members whose unreported amounts do not exceed 5 million yen.

In addition, former Secretary-General Nikai, who announced his intention not to run in the next House of Representatives election in order to clarify his political responsibility, will not be subject to punishment.

On April 1st, the executive committee requested that Mogi ask the Party Disciplinary Committee to review the punishment, and the executive committee is expediting coordination with the aim of making a decision on the 4th of this week.
