Yesterday evening, Saturday, hundreds of Palestinians participated in a march that took place in the center of the city of Ramallah in the West Bank, in commemoration of Land Day and in support of the prisoners and the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to Israeli aggression for more than 6 months.

The march came in response to calls made by political forces, civil society organizations, and activists to organize marches in city centers on the 48th anniversary of Land Day, corresponding to March 30 of each year, in support of Gaza and the prisoners.

The march toured the center of the city, and representatives of a number of factions and hundreds of Palestinians participated, raising the Palestinian flag and chanting slogans, including “The people want the Qassam Brigades,” “Greetings to the Brigades... Izz al-Din,” and “From Ramallah, salutes to our proud Gaza.”

The Ramallah march came in conjunction with marches organized in several international capitals in commemoration of Land Day and in rejection of the continuation of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

The events of Land Day date back to 1976, when the Israeli authorities confiscated vast areas of Arab population’s lands.

This year's anniversary comes amid the escalation of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since last October 7, and the escalation of the settlement attack in the West Bank.

Israel is waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip that has left tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded - most of them children and women - an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive destruction of infrastructure and property.
