Ten days before the legislative elections, South Koreans are setting up polling stations throughout the country. Preparations disrupted by a spy camera affair: Friday March 29 in the evening, a man was arrested for having hidden cameras in the voting booths and near the ballot boxes. He explained to the authorities that he wanted to monitor electoral fraud.

Twenty-six cameras installed in 18 different polling stations were discovered a few days before the election. Election control authorities must therefore search every nook and cranny of 

South Korea

's approximately 3,500 polling stations . 

Ironically, the YouTuber in his forties, suspected of having installed these spy cameras, was found thanks to building surveillance cameras. This is not his first attempt. 

Tight ballot

He has in fact published on his YouTube channel numerous videos of his cameras hidden in the voting booths, including during the 2022 presidential election. In these videos with conspiratorial overtones, he also calls on his subscribers to follow him in his approach by purchasing, They too have cameras. “

We filmed everything using my cameras, and I recounted all the votes, there is a difference with the results. We can file a complaint. We must do it in other polling stations

,” he urges.

While the election on April 10 seems very close between the two main parties, the authorities are watching for the slightest incident. The YouTuber is still in police custody while the investigation continues.
