  According to the relevant person in charge of the Huanggang Border Inspection Station, with the arrival of Hong Kong’s Easter holiday and the approaching Tomb-Sweeping Day, people from Guangdong and Hong Kong have frequent exchanges of people returning to their hometowns to worship ancestors, travel for outings, and visit relatives for consumption.   On the first day of the Easter holiday in Hong Kong, Huanggang and Futian Ports experienced instantaneous inbound passenger flow peaks. Among them, the maximum inspection volume per hour in the entry direction of Futian Port was nearly 18,000 people, and the maximum inspection volume per hour in the entry direction of Huanggang Port was more than 3,300 people. The maximum inspection volume of passenger vehicles per hour exceeds 360.

  In order to cope with the peak passenger flow, Huanggang Border Inspection Station opened sufficient inspection channels in advance and added temporary manual inspection desks. At the same time, sufficient police force will be deployed to strengthen the maintenance of on-site customs clearance order at the two ports, close real-time contact with the Hong Kong side, initiate joint logistics with inspection units, local public security and traffic police, and implement measures such as segmented flow control to improve customs clearance efficiency.
