Participants in the Berlin demonstration raised banners in support of Palestine and Gaza (Anatolia)

On Saturday, the European Palestinian Information Center published scenes documenting hundreds of people taking part in demonstrations in European cities and capitals in solidarity with the Gaza Strip and in commemoration of Land Day, which Palestinians commemorate annually on this day.

The scenes showed hundreds of people taking part in demonstrations and protests in the center of the German capital, Berlin, the French capital, Paris, the Danish capital, Copenhagen, the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, the British capital, London, and the Swedish city of Helsingborg.

The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and slogans denouncing the continued Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip. They also denounced the targeting of civilians and demanded the opening of the crossings and allowing the flow of humanitarian aid.

Today, Saturday, marks the anniversary of Land Day, whose events date back to 1976, when the occupation confiscated vast areas of Palestinian land. Since this date, the Palestinians have commemorated this anniversary annually on March 30 by launching several activities.

This year's anniversary comes amid the escalation of the ongoing brutal Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, and the escalation of the settlement attack in the West Bank.

Israel is waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, leaving tens of thousands of victims, most of them children and women, a humanitarian catastrophe and massive destruction of infrastructure and property, which led to Israel being brought before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing genocide.
