The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has updated information on the preliminary list of victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. As follows from the updated data, 551 people received various injuries from terrorist actions.

“As of 06:00 on March 30, 2024, 695 people (including 15 children) were injured as a result of the terrorist attack, of which 144 people died (including five children),” the statement said.

On March 30, with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', a memorial service was held for those killed in the terrorist attack.

It was held by Archbishop of Odintsovo and Krasnogorsk Thomas (Mosolov) near a spontaneous memorial organized next to Crocus City Hall.

The day before, a representative of the Center for Disaster Medicine reported 382 victims. At the same time, 69 people remained in hospitals.

There were also 143 deaths reported. Later, the Belarusian Embassy in the Russian Federation reported the death of Alim Koshevarov, who received numerous bullet wounds during the terrorist attack. This information was confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Health.

Investigation

The perpetrators of the terrorist attack were four natives of Tajikistan: Dalerjon Mirzoev, Rachabalizodu Saidakrami, Fariduni Shamsidin and Muhammadsobir Fayzov.

They managed to escape from Crocus City Hall after they started shooting and a fire in the building. Subsequently, they were detained in the Bryansk region by military personnel from the group covering the state border of the Russian Federation. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Krasnogorsk, police colonel Maxim Myagkov, and his deputy, police lieutenant colonel Dmitry Novikov, helped identify the car in which the criminals fled.

During interrogations, the terrorists stated that their actions via voice messages via Telegram were coordinated by a man under a pseudonym. On his instructions, they drove a car towards the Russian-Ukrainian border to arrive in Kyiv, where they were to receive a reward.

The Russian Investigative Committee also announced the presence of confirmed data on the suspect’s receipt of significant amounts of cash and cryptocurrency from Ukraine.

In addition, after the terrorist attack, five more people were arrested who, according to the investigation, were involved in the criminal group: Alisher Kasimov, Nazrimad Lutfulloi, brothers Aminchon and Dilovar Islomov, as well as their father Isroil.

“The West is suspiciously actively convincing that there is no need to suspect Ukraine”

On March 25, Vladimir Putin, during a meeting on measures taken after the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert complex, noted that the crime was committed by radical Islamists, but the Russian authorities are interested in who ordered it.

“We also see that the United States, through various channels, is trying to convince its satellites and other countries of the world that, according to their intelligence data, there is supposedly no Kiev trace in the Moscow terrorist attack, that the bloody terrorist attack was carried out by followers of Islam, members of the ISIS organization banned in Russia*,” - the President of the Russian Federation emphasized.

The head of state also wondered why the terrorists tried to go to Ukraine after committing the crime.

“It is clear that those who support the Kiev regime do not want to be accomplices of terror and sponsors of terrorism. But there are really a lot of questions,” Putin said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also drew attention to the fact that Western countries are actively trying to convince everyone that Ukraine should not be suspected of a terrorist attack.

“The West is suspiciously actively convincing us, not only publicly, but also in contacts through our diplomatic missions, that there is no need to suspect Ukraine. Without explaining why. Although, from the point of view of sound logic, answering the question of who benefits from this (this question is always asked when crimes are committed that have to be solved), we cannot exclude Ukraine,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said in an interview with Izvestia.
