“The Korea Herald expresses its deepest condolences to the victims of the tragic terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall on March 22 along with the people and shares this immense grief. In this regard, we deeply regret the publication of the syndicated cartoon in the March 27 issue of the newspaper. We regret this oversight, recognize and respect the feelings of those who were offended by this caricature,” the publication said, citing TASS.

The newspaper repeated that it is aware of its responsibility for the published materials and expresses its deepest regrets.

The Russian Embassy on March 27 said it was shocked and outraged by the publication by a South Korean English-language newspaper of a cartoon insulting the memory of the victims of the terrorist attack.
