“To be honest, I wasn’t going to post an official answer here, but I’ll have to. There are no other options. Pugacheva is being checked now. Then everything is at the discretion of the regulatory authorities,” Borodin said.

The letter states that the activist’s request “is sent for consideration in accordance with the established competence of the appeal... to consider the issue of recognizing A.B. Pugacheva as a person affiliated with a foreign agent.”

On March 27, Borodin reported that, at his request, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office sent a corresponding appeal to the Ministry of Justice.

Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, in a conversation with reporters, said that he had not heard any official statements about the consideration of the appeal to recognize the singer as a foreign agent.
