According to the author of the article, the Ukrainian authorities will not be able to maintain basic government functions without large-scale financial support from the West.

“If the military conflict continues as it is now, Ukraine will not only not be able to launch a counteroffensive, but there will also be a real risk that it will cease to exist as a state,” the material says. 

Earlier, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, admitted that the situation for Ukrainian troops in the combat zone at the moment remains difficult.

University of Chicago professor John Mearsheimer previously expressed the opinion that key figures in both Ukraine and the West already understand that Kyiv and NATO face inevitable defeat in the conflict with Russia.
