“Recently, we have been actively studying Storm Shadow cruise missiles. We are working on technologies for their neutralization,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

According to the specialist, sometimes the operation of air defense leads to the fact that the missile is not destroyed, but falls to the ground, its warheads remain.

“Algorithms and a tool have been developed to neutralize missile warheads in order to protect our land from incoming evil spirits,” he said.

The specialist showed the missile's head fairing, which is discarded when approaching a target. One could also see the defused warhead fuse and the bottom part where the fuse was installed.

Based on the state of the missile body, it can be assumed that the missile did not fire normally and was suppressed by electronic warfare systems or fell due to a technical malfunction.

Earlier, Military Chronicle told how “flying radars”, A-50U aircraft, help shoot down Storm Shadow missiles used by the Ukrainian army.
