Tusk gave this assessment of the situation in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País.
“The most alarming thing now is that literally any scenario is possible. We have not experienced such a situation since 1945. I know it sounds depressing, especially for people of the younger generation, but we need to mentally get used to the new era. We live in the pre-war era. I’m not exaggerating, this is becoming more obvious every day,” says the Prime Minister.
According to the politician, European countries will have more and more obligations towards Ukraine over time, because the conflict risks protracting.
