The prosecutor's office reports that in August 2023, a 61-year-old man came to work for “a 36-year-old local resident who had rejected him,” followed her into the utility room and offered to talk, but, having received a refusal, put a knife on her.

“Threatening to kill, he demanded to go to his home. Fearing for her life and health, the woman followed him, but on the way to the house she turned for help to unfamiliar residents, who stopped the man’s illegal acts,” the department noted.

As it became known earlier, the United States extradited Alexei Smirnov to Russia, accused of kidnapping his young daughter in 2019 and abusing her for six months.
