In Grenoble, the police are looking for a man suspected of having raped or sexually assaulted 9 women in 2 months in the city center or in nearby towns. According to a report, the suspect is a redhead, aged around twenty, who, at night, knocks down his victims, aged under 30, with his scooter before attacking them.
Psychosis is growing in Grenoble. The Grenoble police are on edge because they are actively looking for "the scooter rapist" who is suspected of having raped or sexually assaulted 9 women in two months. For several days, Célia, a 26-year-old student, has seen the message “Beware of the scooter rapist” on social networks. According to a report, the suspect sought is young, around twenty years old, he is 1.70 m tall, he is of European type, pale complexion, red hair, of normal build or even slightly plump and is dressed all in black.
He operates late at night or early in the morning and follows his victims before knocking them over with his scooter to sexually assault them. He also sometimes steals phones and money. Its scope of action: several municipalities in the Grenoble metropolitan area but also and especially the city center. One of the rapes took place in a gallery between 2 pedestrian streets in the city center.

General mobilization
In an attempt to identify and arrest him, the police declared general mobilization. “We are all on deck: my colleagues in the field are strongly mobilized on this case. There is a large system in place with cross-checking of testimonies, hearings from victims. There is also video surveillance to be used. We hope put an end to these misdeeds as quickly as possible", assures Stéphane Gianesello, of the Alliance Police Nationale Isère union. An arrest also hoped for by the Grenoble prosecutor's office to put an end as quickly as possible to the psychosis which has taken hold in the city.
