“We have a very small stockpile of missiles and shells, which is due to our model of organizing the armed forces... Provoking Russia is futile and dangerous, since it is a nuclear power with both strategic and tactical weapons,” Morin said in an interview Le Point.
He noted that France has enough forces to operate in Africa, and for other tasks there is NATO.
Morin also criticized the country's President Emmanuel Macron for his position on supporting Ukraine.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed the opinion that French President Emmanuel Macron was talking about the possible sending of NATO troops to Ukraine in order to please the United States.
