On the 26th, the "Heroes Blooming in Heroes City" Red Cotton Stage hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee - a special performance by Taiwanese youth Lingnan cultural interpreters was held at the Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center.

  On that day, eight Taiwanese youth representatives who were studying, working, and starting businesses in Guangzhou took the stage one after another. Like envoys of Lingnan culture and history, they led everyone through the 1911 Revolution Memorial Hall, the Whampoa Military Academy Former Site Memorial Hall, Nansha Tianhou Temple, Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center, etc. Between the exchange bases with Taiwan, the cultural stories, the red revolutionary spirit, and the context and footprints of Guangzhou's urban construction and development that have been deposited in the long river of time are recounted.

  This special performance is one of the "Heroes Flowers Bloom in Hero City" 2024 Guangzhou inheritance and promotion of red culture series activities. It aims to give full play to the exemplary role of Taiwanese youth in telling Guangzhou stories and promoting Lingnan culture, and to promote Taiwanese youth to jointly carry forward Chinese traditional culture and promote Compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are in harmony.

  It is reported that the participating Taiwanese teenagers are outstanding representatives of the winners of the first Guangzhou Taiwan Youth Lingnan Cultural Instructor Competition in 2023. This event is a new cultural exchange brand created by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee, the Guangzhou Municipal Education Bureau, and the Guangzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau. It gives full play to the advantages of Guangzhou’s four major cultural brands, including red culture, Lingnan culture, Maritime Silk Road culture and innovative culture.
