Russian officials honored the Muslim boy Islam Khalilov (15 years old) after he helped more than 100 people escape during the attack on a concert hall in the capital, Moscow, a few days ago.

Children's Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova awarded the Muslim boy a "certificate for dedication, manhood and personal courage in helping victims."

Another boy (14 years old) was given the same award for his assistance in the evacuations.

In this context, the head of the Religious Administration of the Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Council of the Mufti of Russia, Ravil Ain al-Din, awarded the boy Khalilov the Medal for Service to Muslims in Russia because of his courage and saving people.

It is planned that he will be awarded the medal after Friday prayers on March 29 at the Central Mosque in the capital, Moscow.

Khalilov was working in the hall during the attack on March 22, directing more than 100 people directly to the exit corridor and ensuring their exit from the building safely.

According to Russian reports, gunmen with automatic weapons stormed the Crocus Hall during a rock concert last Friday, opened fire on security personnel at the entrance to the hall, and then began shooting at the audience.

The Russian Investigative Committee said that the attackers set fire to the building with a flammable liquid.

Last Monday, the Russian Investigative Committee announced that the death toll from the attack had risen to 139, including 3 children, and 182 people were injured.

For its part, ISIS-Khorasan Province announced that its members carried out the attack.
