While the ban on the rental of thermal strainers continues, the real estate advertising site SeLoger presented, this Wednesday, the conclusions of its study "The Climate and Resilience law is already bearing fruit", almost three years after its promulgation. Interview with Thomas Lefebvre, VP Data of SeLoger...

Buying or renting a thermal strainer, is it still possible? The number of advertisements on the SeLoger site is in any case in free fall if we are to believe the latest study carried out by the real estate advertisement site published this Wednesday and called "The Climate and Resilience law is already bearing fruit". Indeed, since January 1, 2023, the number of listings for sale of properties classified F or G in the DPE has decreased by 11.8%, after "an increase in listings for sale between 2021 and 2022 because owners anticipated the first regulations and others have renovated their properties thanks to aid and in particular MaPrimeRénov'" according to Thomas Lefebvre, VP Data at SeLoger.

“A colander is 16% cheaper than an equivalent D-rated good”

In fact, 32% of owners of thermal strainers claim to have carried out energy renovation work in 2023, which allowed one renovated property in five to leave the F or G label under the DPE, while at the same time At the moment, almost a quarter of thermal strainers are no longer available for rental. However, there are obviously still housing classified F or G for sale. These “are negotiated 16% cheaper than an equivalent property classified D” according to Thomas Lefebvre, VP Data at SeLoger.

Buying an energy strainer can therefore become a very good deal for buyers and they understand this. The number of buyers interested in G-rated housing is as large as those who exclude colanders from their searches (33%). Then count on average 458 euros less per square meter for a thermal strainer compared to a property classified D.
