Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said during his meeting with the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Ismail Haniyeh, in the capital, Tehran, that the recent events in Gaza are a scandal for America and Western countries that support Israel, according to what was reported by the official Iranian News Agency (IRNA).

Ismail Haniyeh arrived on Tuesday, accompanied by a delegation from the Hamas movement, on an unannounced visit to Tehran, to hold discussions with Iranian officials regarding developments in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

Raisi said, "The recent incidents in Gaza constitute another major scandal for the United States and some Western countries in supporting the Zionist entity that kills children, while the true nature and face of the United States and the West have been revealed to the people."

Raisi considered that "the Palestinian issue, in light of the heroic resistance and steadfastness shown by the people of Gaza (..) has transcended the borders of the Islamic world to turn into a global issue concerning humanity."

The Iranian President considered that any diplomatic move by the United States and Israel in the region is “misleading and deceptive,” stressing that the world has become aware that Israel is a source of destabilization of security in the region.

He also pointed out that countries that were seeking normalization with Israel "are now ashamed in front of their people."

In turn, Ismail Haniyeh stressed that the Israeli occupation will not be able to impose its equations on the Palestinian people, neither through war nor politics, and that the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation achieved unprecedented achievements for the Palestinian people.

Haniyeh, according to a statement issued by the movement, expressed his appreciation for Iran’s positions on Palestine, and reviewed the course of the Israeli war against the Gaza Strip and the political efforts to stop it.

He stressed that the occupation "the image of its army was destroyed and it appeared as it really is without embellishment and is living in political isolation, while the reality of the American positions and absolute support for the occupation and support for its crimes, including genocide, has emerged."

Haniyeh stressed that the occupation "will not be able to impose its equations on the Palestinian people, neither through war nor politics," and urged the Islamic world "to stand by patient Gaza."

Haniyeh's visit to Tehran comes a day after the UN Security Council adopted, on Monday, a resolution supported by 14 countries (out of 15), demanding an "immediate" ceasefire in Gaza during the month of Ramadan, leading to a "permanent and sustainable" ceasefire, while the United States abstained. United States to vote.

Following his arrival in Tehran on Tuesday, Haniyeh held discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

Khamenei, during his meeting with Haniyeh and his accompanying delegation yesterday, Tuesday, praised the unparalleled steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance (Anatolia)

Haniyeh said after his meeting with Abdullahian that the UN Security Council resolution came late and contains some blanks that need to be filled, but the resolution itself "indicates that the Israeli occupation lives in unprecedented political isolation."

He also stressed that this vote shows “that the United States is unable to impose its will on the international community,” and considered that “the Zionist entity has failed to achieve any of its military or strategic goals” after about 6 months of war.

Haniyeh and his accompanying delegation also met yesterday, Tuesday, with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, according to a statement published on Khamenei’s website.

Khamenei praised the “unparalleled steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance forces,” and said, “The historic patience of the people of Gaza in the face of the crimes and brutality of the Zionist entity, which are being carried out with the full support of the West, is a great phenomenon that has truly strengthened Islam and made the Palestinian issue the first issue in the world, despite the will of the enemy.” .
