A team of Hungarian researchers has published a study which reveals that some dogs can understand words spoken to them. In the show

, Manu, cross-canine teacher, behaviorist and dog handler, reacted by explaining that certain breeds have this ability more easily than others. “It’s a bit like children, there are some who will be more willing to make certain efforts, who are more used to ‘working’,” she explained, taking the example of shepherd dogs like border collies and malinois. “There are many exceptions, ordinary dogs, crossbreeds who are intelligent and who understand everything,” added the canine behaviorist.
