From December 8 to this Tuesday, no one had matched all six numbers to win the jackpot in the last 30 draws.
Tuesday's prize is the eighth highest in U.S. lottery history. According to the Mega Millions website, the winning ticket was sold in New Jersey.
Achieving the game's jackpot is difficult because the chances of finding the winning combination are very slim,

.
The 1,120 million jackpot is for a winner who decides to collect the prize in annuities, with an initial payment and then 29 years. Most of the winners choose to receive
the cash prize, which would be $537.5 million
