Europe 1 SEASON 2023 - 2024 6:00 p.m., March 27, 2024

This week, Pierre-Marie Chapon speaks with Anne PAREDES about the social action of AG2R LA MONDIALE to talk about the Usages et Autonomie Lab, initiated in 2019 and financed by the Agirc-Arrco social funds, the supplementary pension plan in France.

The Uses and Autonomy Lab starts from the observation that many marketed products and services do not adequately meet the needs and uses of seniors. Co-construction of solutions with seniors allows real recognition of their expertise and promotes the marketing of truly beneficial solutions.

Concretely, as part of the Lab, discussion groups are organized with senior volunteers. Assessments in real conditions are also carried out at home or in an establishment. AG2R LA MONDIALE relies on various partners, including the Silver Valley association, to carry out these evaluations. The economic model of the solutions is also evaluated beyond use and analysis of needs.

Anne PAREDES emphasizes that seniors ardently desire to continue to play an active role in society. Better informed and more comfortable with technology, today's seniors have significant expertise, having been or still being caregivers for their parents.

The Lab evaluated solutions such as Mamie Boom, which promotes intergenerational exchanges between seniors and students, or Allo Louis which offers assistance for small DIY jobs and domestic repairs. Anne also talks about the Stay Young program, focused on physical activity and well-being.

When it comes to preparing for retirement, it is essential to ask the right questions and find appropriate answers. Alphonse helps retirees build a retirement that makes sense for them, and answers their questions about finances, health, social connections and even transmission.

In 2024, the Usages and Autonomy Lab will continue its evaluations and investigate other areas, such as the question of romantic relationships, a factor in well-being and aging well.
