A VTC driver stabbed a South American man this Tuesday night inside a cafeteria on Infanta Mercedes Street in the Madrid district of Tetuán, according to medical sources. The Police are trying to locate the man who could be

a regular customer of the establishment

and are investigating the reason for the attack. At the moment, he has not been arrested.

The injured man, about 45 years old, was treated on Amelia Street by Samur doctors with a stab wound to the abdomen.

He was conscious and was transferred with prior hospital notice to La Paz

, according to Emergencies Madrid.

The events occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the

El Galope cafeteria

, a place on Infanta Mercedes street usually frequented by taxi drivers and VTC drivers. The Municipal Police have received a notice from several people who warned of

a fight involving knives

inside the premises.

The agents went to the establishment, but the aggressor and the alleged victim had already left the cafeteria. A few minutes later, a man bleeding from his abdomen was located on Amalia Street by the National Police. He had a serious injury and confirmed that

he had been stabbed on the premises

by another person. The agents notified the emergency services who moved to the area and treated the victim.
