The number of martyrs in the West Bank has risen to 453 Palestinians since October 7, with three martyred during Israel’s raid on the city of Jenin at dawn on Wednesday, while the number of detainees in the West Bank has risen to more than 7,820 since that date, with the occupation forces arresting them last night and morning. Today 20 Palestinians.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported today that 3 Palestinians were martyred and 4 others were injured by Israeli fire during a raid on the city of Jenin, thus raising the number of martyrs in the West Bank - since the Al-Aqsa flood attack - to 453, in addition to about 4,750 wounded.

The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that it responded in the occupied West Bank - along with the rest of the factions at dawn today - to the Israeli forces storming Jenin and targeted its vehicles and soldiers.

The Israeli bombing targeted a number of young men while they were in the Damm neighborhood in the Jenin camp, resulting in the death of 3 of them, including the young man Hamza Ararawi. The occupation forces also blew up a vehicle during their storming of Jenin last night, according to what a video clip broadcast by activists on social media showed.

Local platforms broadcast scenes - which they said were from the site of the bombing - showing blood on the ground and citizens trying to clean it, while the people of the area mourned the bodies of the martyrs this morning.

Yesterday evening and today at dawn, the occupation forces stormed Jenin and the outskirts of its camp, and conducted patrols in several neighborhoods, reinforced by a number of patrols, as a result of which armed clashes broke out between resistance fighters and the occupation forces.

The occupation forces also stormed the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, where confrontations broke out with Palestinian youths, resulting in the injury of five who were subsequently transferred to hospitals for treatment.

The Israeli occupation also stormed the town of Madama, south of Nablus in the West Bank, as well as the town of Beit Fajjar, east of the city of Bethlehem, where confrontations broke out between them and resistance fighters.

20 detainees in less than 24 hours

In a related context, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that the occupation forces arrested - from yesterday evening until this morning - at least 20 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, including the wife of the martyr Mujahid Mansour, a university student, in addition to a child and former prisoners.

The arrests were distributed among the governorates of Ramallah (central), Hebron (south), Nablus, Salfit, Tulkarm, and Jenin (north).

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club indicated that the number of detained citizens has risen to more than 7,820 since the seventh of last October.

Since the start of its war on Gaza, the occupation army has escalated raids and arrests in the West Bank. At a time when it was waging a devastating war on the besieged Gaza Strip, it left tens of thousands of victims, most of them children and women, a humanitarian catastrophe and massive destruction of infrastructure and property, which led to Israel being brought before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing genocide.
