Chen Xu pointed out that at present, China's economy is recovering and improving, and high-quality development is making solid progress. China's development is still in a period of important strategic opportunities, and it is also a period in which overseas Chinese can make great achievements. I hope that everyone will strengthen their confidence in development, keep up with the pace of technological innovation, seize high-quality development opportunities, adhere to national justice, contribute to the great cause of national rejuvenation, give full play to unique advantages, and promote mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations.
Chen Xu said that the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council will thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee on overseas Chinese affairs, strengthen the construction of policy systems for overseas Chinese, implement various measures to benefit overseas Chinese, and continue to support overseas Chinese in participating in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and Accelerate the development of new productive forces, encourage overseas Chinese to actively promote exchanges and cooperation between their country of residence and China in various fields, integrate their own career development into the development of their ancestral (home) country and the world's modernization process, and share the fruits of development.
This conference was hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China, with the theme of “Gathering the Strength of Overseas Chinese to Meet Challenges, Deepening Cooperation to Create a Future”. More than 20 Chinese business leaders, experts and scholars from 10 countries and regions attended the meeting. The meeting held exchanges and discussions around sub-topics such as helping to form new productive forces, global development and cooperation, and deepening exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations.
