It is a phenomenon on the rise: home deliveries of drugs. Traffickers who evade police checks at deal points by becoming mobile. The Minister of the Interior announced, in Marseille, “systematic checks”. But it is clear that this new form of trafficking disrupts the work of law enforcement.

They are called "Ubershit", "Deliverooland" or even "Beuh-store". Groups on social networks, with a very developed design and where obtaining drugs is very easy. A message and delivery is assured in minutes with scooters similar to those that deliver food. 

200 “cyber patrols” to infiltrate sales groups

It is therefore difficult to identify the sellers. The police must therefore adapt and change their methods of investigation. “It’s the decryption of the different social networks that will allow us to follow the trail,” explains Reda Belhadj, of the SGP Police union. “Sometimes, all we need is a video on Snapchat that betrays individuals. The police can see that a brand of drug sales corresponds to a particular location.”

For this, the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, announced the creation of 200 “cyber patrols”, which aim to infiltrate sales groups on the internet. A practice similar to that already existing to combat cyberchild pornography.
