The occupation escalated its incursions into the West Bank coinciding with its ongoing war on Gaza (Associated Press)

Today, Tuesday, two Palestinians were injured by Israeli occupation army bullets during their storming of cities and towns in the occupied West Bank, and its soldiers also arrested 15 people throughout the West Bank during the past 24 hours.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said - in a statement - that its crews "dealt with two casualties with live bullets during the occupation forces' storming of the cities of Nablus and Qalqilya in the northern West Bank."

She added, "Our crews in Qalqilya received from the Israeli army a live bullet wound to the legs of a 20-year-old young man at the entrance to Qalqilya, and he was taken to the hospital."

In a separate statement, the association said that its crews “transported a young man injured by live bullets in the foot during confrontations with the Israeli army in the Balata camp, east of Nablus.”

Intrusions

Al Jazeera's correspondent and eyewitnesses reported that the occupation army carried out incursions into Balata refugee camp, towns in Qalqilya Governorate, the city and camp of Jenin (north), Jalazoun camp and the town of Nubani Farms in Ramallah Governorate (central), and towns in Hebron and Bethlehem governorates (south).

They added that army forces stormed Balata camp, amid clashes with dozens of Palestinians, during which the army used live bullets and tear gas bombs.

They pointed out that an armed clash took place between gunmen and the Israeli army, and that the army blew up a headquarters belonging to the Fatah movement before it withdrew.

In Qalqilya Governorate, army forces stormed the city and raided several neighborhoods, leading to the outbreak of confrontations with dozens of Palestinians.

Israeli forces also stormed the city of Jenin and its camp, amid the outbreak of an armed clash with Palestinians. Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli forces arrested a number of Palestinians in the city of Jenin before withdrawing from it.

The occupation army also stormed the town of Dura near Hebron, and towns in the Bethlehem Governorate, and raided the homes of residents in the area. Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that the occupation forces arrested 3 Palestinians before withdrawing from the town.

Al Jazeera's correspondent said that Israeli special forces also stormed the city of Nablus, in the northern West Bank, and sent reinforcements from several directions and deployed in the neighborhoods of the east and center of the city.

The occupation forces also stormed the Jalazoun camp, north of the city of Ramallah, and the invading units raided homes, searched them, tampered with their contents, and arrested a number of young Palestinian men, claiming that they were wanted, before withdrawing from the camp.

Palestinian press sources reported that the occupation forces blew up a vehicle between the towns of Aroura and Nubani Farms, northwest of Ramallah.

It also stormed the eastern and western axes of the city of Dura in southern Hebron, and raided a residential apartment, searched it, and arrested a citizen. It also conducted patrols in the city, fired live bullets at citizens, and set up a number of checkpoints.

Settlers attacks

Settlers also attacked Palestinian homes and vehicles in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron. They threw stones at citizens’ homes and vehicles, intercepted vehicles at the entrance to the town, and assaulted their passengers.

Al Jazeera's correspondent also reported that Israeli settlers raided the homes of Palestinian civilians in the village of Susiya Yatta, south of Hebron, noting that the settlers beat a number of the village's residents, abused them, and destroyed their cars.

For its part, Israeli Channel 14 reported that a house in the Karmei Tzur settlement north of Hebron was exposed to gunfire. The Israeli army said that its forces were conducting search and combing operations in the vicinity of the settlement.

Arrests

This comes at a time when the Israeli occupation forces arrested 15 Palestinians, including a child and former prisoners, during their storming of various areas of the West Bank during the past 24 hours.

A joint statement by the Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah, Qalqilya, Jenin, Hebron, Bethlehem, and occupied Jerusalem, bringing the number of detainees to 7,770 since the seventh of last October.

Since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, the occupation army has escalated raids and arrests in the West Bank, resulting in confrontations with Palestinians that left 450 dead and about 4,750 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
