Regarding stable succession to the Imperial Throne, the New Komeito Party is considering a system in which female members of the imperial family remain in the imperial family even after marriage, in line with the measures compiled by the government's panel of experts to ensure the number of members of the imperial family. We have put together a draft opinion paper that argues that children should be allowed to be adopted.

Regarding issues such as how to ensure a stable succession to the throne, the government has quietly submitted a report from a panel of experts to the Diet, and the Speakers of both the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors are requesting that each party and faction proceed with discussions.

In response to this, Komeito held repeated discussions and compiled a draft opinion on the 26th.

According to the report, of the two proposals included in the report as a measure to secure the number of members of the imperial family, the idea that female members of the imperial family remain in the imperial family after marriage was ``an idea that would gain the understanding of the public and be consistent with the history of the imperial family.'' "We should consider institutionalizing it."

It also states that it is appropriate for the spouses and children of female members of the imperial family not to have the status of members of the imperial family.

Regarding the idea of adopting male lineage males from the former imperial family, he said, ``As the birthrate continues to decline, in order to keep the imperial family alive, it should be possible to adopt children. "Taking into account the fact that there are many cases of childbirth, adoptions with these people should be allowed."

The Komeito Party will compile a formal written opinion based on this proposal and will submit it to the Speakers of both Houses of Representatives as early as next week.
