Guzheng, gaolhu, piano, and pipa players from Beijing, Xi'an, Hong Kong and other places presented many classic works such as "Fighting the Typhoon", "Butterfly Lovers", "Moonlight Night on the Spring River", and "Fishing Boats Sing Evening". Zheng music with a history of more than 2,000 years echoed along the Victoria Harbour, leading the audience into an art world where tradition and modernity intertwine.

  In an interview with reporters, Ma Hang, secretary-general of the Hong Kong Guzheng Society and a young guzheng performer, said that as an international metropolis, Hong Kong has a rich cultural heritage and artistic atmosphere. The establishment of the Hong Kong Guzheng Society aims to promote the development and inheritance of guzheng music culture in Hong Kong and promote the improvement of the level of guzheng performance in Hong Kong. The Society will organize a series of guzheng music activities in Hong Kong, such as performances, competitions, seminars and workshops, to promote exchanges and learning.

  She also introduced that she founded the Hong Kong Cihang Kite Troupe last year. The average age of the troupe members is 13 years old. Several troupe members have won awards at the Hong Kong School Music Festival. The Hong Kong Guzheng Society established this time will further cultivate Hong Kong youth’s interest in guzheng music and provide students with opportunities and platforms to learn guzheng through education and training projects.   Before the concert started, officiating guests such as Ma Fengguo, deputy to the National People's Congress of Hong Kong, member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong SAR, and president of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Hong Kong, cut the ribbon for the establishment of the Hong Kong Guzheng Society.
