The Japanese government places emphasis on whether or not organizational reforms are progressing when deciding whether to resume contributions, and it is evaluating the situation by noting that an interim report submitted last week by a verification group independent of the United Nations confirmed improvements in the organization. .



UNRWA has also indicated its intention to further strengthen its governance, and the Japanese government is making adjustments to resume funding next month.



Minister Kamikawa is scheduled to meet with UNRWA Executive Director Lazzarini in Tokyo on the 28th, and plans to make a final decision after hearing a direct explanation of future measures.
