This was stated by the Ambassador of Bahrain in Moscow Ahmed Al-Saati.
“We are trying to join and participate in the work of both BRICS and other international economic and political organizations,” RIA Novosti quotes him.
According to the diplomat, Russia did everything so that Bahrain would also be in this association.
“But there are documents that are not yet ready for our entry into BRICS,” Al-Saati noted.
Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa.
Putin also said that BRICS today is a powerful association that attracts many countries.
