On Monday, the Palestinian resistance bombed Ashkelon and Ashdod with missile barrages and carried out new operations against the Israeli army, while the occupation launched fire belts, causing martyrs and wounded, and continued its military operations in the Shifa Complex in Gaza City and Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis in the south.

In the latest developments, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced that on Monday evening, it bombed Ashkelon and the Gaza Strip with a missile salvo, noting that the bombing included the Sderot settlement.

The Israeli army said that sirens sounded in Ashkelon and Zikim in the Gaza Strip.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), had previously announced that it had bombed the city of Ashdod with a missile barrage in response to targeting civilians, for the first time in about two months.

Later, the Israeli army said that it destroyed a missile launch pad in Deir al-Balah that was used to bomb Ashdod.

For its part, Israeli Army Radio announced the interception of two out of eight rockets fired from Gaza towards Ashdod, and an Al Jazeera correspondent reported hearing sirens sounding in Ashdod, north of the Gaza Strip.

Activists on social media platforms broadcast a video clip showing settlers escaping and trying to take cover simultaneously with the sounding of sirens in Ashdod after the resistance in the Gaza Strip launched rocket salvoes towards the city.

Operations and clashes

Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced that an Israeli Merkava tank was targeted with an Al-Yassin 105 shell, which led to its complete burning in the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, west of Gaza. It also confirmed that another tank of the same model was targeted on Al-Rashid Street, west of the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood in the city.

In a separate operation, the Al-Qassam Brigades said that they bombed an Israeli force that penetrated the outskirts of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City with mortar shells, which led to its withdrawal.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades announced that its fighters targeted an Israeli military vehicle with a guided missile at Abu Al-Saud roundabout, south of the Al-Shifa complex, and bombarded with mortar shells gatherings of occupation forces in the vicinity of the complex that the Israeli army stormed a few days ago.

On the other hand, Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said that the military operation in the Shifa Medical Complex is continuing and has not ended yet.

In the south of the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported armed clashes and Israeli artillery shelling on the Al-Amal neighborhood, west of the city of Khan Yunis.

The Israeli army announced that two soldiers were injured in the Gaza battles during the past 24 hours.

Bombing and martyrs

Also in field developments, Al Jazeera's correspondent said that the Israeli army deployed fire belts on the western areas of the Shifa complex, resulting in martyrs and wounded.

The reporter also reported that two Palestinians were killed and wounded by occupation bullets and shells in the Karni area, east of the Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza City.

In Khan Yunis, Al Jazeera's correspondent said that the bodies of 15 martyrs had been recovered from different areas of the city since Monday morning.

Also in Khan Yunis, the occupation forces arrested displaced people from the Nasser Medical Complex and forced the women to go to the Al-Mawasi area.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent said that the occupation forces forced the workers and wounded at Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis to evacuate it on Sunday evening, noting that two of its staff were injured by occupation bullets while removing rubble to exit Al-Amal Hospital.

Al Jazeera's correspondent had previously reported that the number of martyrs as a result of Israeli raids targeting homes in Rafah on Sunday evening and Monday dawn had risen to 32, including 12 women and 11 children.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said that the Israeli occupation army committed 11 massacres during the last 24 hours, claiming 107 martyrs and 176 wounded.

The Ministry added that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression since the seventh of last October rose to 32,333 martyrs, while the number of injured reached 74,694 wounded.
