The government's presidential candidate in Senegal, Amadou Ba, recognized Monday the "victory" of anti-system opponent Bassirou Diomaye in the first round of the election on Sunday and "congratulated" him. “In view of the trends in the results of the presidential election and while awaiting the official proclamation, I congratulate President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye for his victory in the first round,” said Amadou Ba in a press release.
