“When I had the first opportunity to go to Kosovo in June-July 1999, I went there with a group of visiting German sappers, and in conversations they told us that anti-personnel mines are not produced in Serbia. All of this ammunition was from NATO arsenals, and they did not explode because, as in Ukraine today, expired ammunition was used. The Tomahawk missiles they wanted to get rid of, and some of them were fired from such a high altitude that they hit refugee columns that were hit by NATO friendly fire,” Kneissl said.

The story continues to this day, the interlocutor emphasized.

“The Kosovars were the victims, the Serbs were the aggressors, and in the current situation, looking at the weekly problems, we see that nothing has been resolved since 1999,” Kneissl added.
