On Monday, March 25, the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested three more defendants in the case of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. Following the court hearing, Isroil, Dilovar and Aminchon Islomov were taken into custody until May 22. According to media reports, we are talking about two siblings and their father.

All three are accused under paragraph “b” of Part 3 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (a terrorist attack committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, leading to the death of people). Punishment under this article provides for life imprisonment.

According to RT, Aminchon Islomov is registered in Tver; several years ago he worked in this city as a shuttle bus driver. In addition, he has many fines from the traffic police, one of which was issued for a traffic violation that resulted in moderate harm to health.

Dilovar Islomov was born in Dushanbe in 1999 and has Russian citizenship. He worked as a taxi driver, he has a wife and child.

According to the investigation, Dilovar and Aminchon Islomov were drawn into the criminal group by one of the participants in the terrorist attack, Shamsidin Fariduni, who had been arrested earlier. An RT source reported that the Islomovs sold the car to the accused, knowing about their intentions to commit a terrorist attack.

Earlier, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin heard a report on the investigation into the terrorist attack in Crocus. In particular, the Investigative Committee said that investigative actions with the accused are ongoing in order to obtain significant information about the preparation and execution of the terrorist attack, as well as to identify other accomplices in the crime, including the organizers.

Along with this, complex forensic forensic examinations have been ordered and are being carried out on the seized material evidence, the results of which will allow us to restore the full picture of what happened, the department noted.

Investigators have been instructed to continue questioning witnesses, including employees of Crocus City Hall, as well as conduct a detailed analysis of documents and other data that will allow them to establish the degree of organization and operating mechanism of emergency warning systems. It is also necessary to find out whether visitors to the facility could quickly leave the building using emergency exits.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that rescuers dismantled more than 90% of the collapsed structures of Crocus City Hall.

“The most difficult area is the blockage on the balcony of the auditorium. With the help of a construction complex, metal structures are dismantled and removed. Canine teams continue to examine every meter of the rubble,” the department said.

It is noted that more than 150 specialists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and 30 units of rescue equipment are taking part in rescue operations.

“Terrorists will not be able to intimidate the country”

The head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, during a meeting with State Duma deputies, said that now the main task is to take care of the victims of the Crocus tragedy, patients of medical institutions, relatives of the victims and victims who will need help.

Mishustin noted that, in accordance with the instructions of the president, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov and the head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko keep the situation under personal control and inform the head of state about what is happening.

The Prime Minister also thanked the doctors, firefighters, rescuers, internal affairs officers who promptly detained those involved, as well as all caring people who, despite mortal danger, protected those who were close to them from terrorists.

“I am convinced that no terrorists will be able to intimidate the country in which such people live. And our direct responsibility is to do everything possible for their well-being, for the development of Russia,” Mishustin emphasized.
