Police forces arrested 19 demonstrators (communication sites)

Australian police arrested 19 pro-Palestinian demonstrators who were protesting - yesterday, Sunday - against an Israeli ship unloading its cargo in a port in Sydney.

According to the Brisbane Times, activists organized a protest in Botany Port, one of the largest Australian ports, in solidarity with Palestine.

The demonstrators protested against the Israeli ship unloading its cargo in the port, and called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, raising Palestinian flags.

The activists called on the Australian government to take action to stop the genocide committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip.

After they refused to end the protest, police forces intervened to disperse them, which led to the outbreak of confrontations between the two parties and the arrest of 19 people.

Since October 7, Israel has launched an aggression and starvation campaign against the Gaza Strip that has left tens of thousands of civilians martyred and wounded, most of them children and women.

It also caused a humanitarian catastrophe and massive infrastructure destruction, which led to Tel Aviv being brought before the International Court of Justice on charges of genocide.
