  • Avoid putting pressure on the teeth while sleeping, and here a night guard can be used.

The Gulf Cooperation Council Health Council launched a media campaign that includes a set of awareness and educational guidelines through its official accounts on social media platforms, with the aim of enhancing awareness of oral and dental health. These guidelines include tips on dental care, proper nutrition for oral health, and how to prevent diseases related to the mouth and teeth.

The advice mentioned that a diabetic person may become more susceptible to gum disease and oral health problems, and the need to reduce sugar intake, brush teeth, use dental floss regularly, and periodically visit the dentist for routine check-ups.

The guidelines also indicated that people who have undergone organ transplants may be at risk of oral and dental problems due to the medications they take.
