“The finals were going on, we were judging, then some kind of panic began, strangers and parents ran in and shouted: “There’s shooting!” - said Biserov.

According to him, in the first minutes of the terrorist attack, the main task of the judges was to prevent panic. He added that the members of the executive committee did not have phones with them: according to the rules, they hand them over before the judging.

“Security and volunteers were sent to clarify what exactly was happening. Then the doors were blocked. As soon as the information was confirmed, it was announced through the microphone that the tournament was ending,” recalls Biserov.

Biserov was with a group of 40 people who did not know where to run due to conflicting information about the terrorists. Employees of the Russian Guard helped them get out. Through the corridors people got out into the street.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall would be punished.

According to the latest data, the death toll in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall has reached 133, and 154 injured.
