“Hundreds of Latvian residents... continue to bring flowers and lamps to the walls of the embassy in Riga. But... the Latvian police prohibit concerned citizens from approaching the diplomatic mission building in order to honor the memory of the victims of the monstrous terrorist attack,” the diplomatic mission said in a message on Facebook*.
According to the embassy, people had to organize a spontaneous memorial on the opposite side of the street.
Diplomats noted that the country's authorities are also not behaving in the best way.
“All this suggests that Riga is well aware of who is behind this bloody massacre and approves of terror against the civilian population of our country,” the diplomatic mission concluded.
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, the death toll as a result of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall has increased to 133.
