“The head of the department expressed deep, sincere condolences to the families of the dead and injured and set the investigators the task of quickly reconstructing the entire picture of the tragedy, achieving severe and inevitable punishment for all those involved in this treacherous attack on defenseless people,” the press service quotes Bastrykin.

According to the FSB, the terrorists planned to escape across the Russian-Ukrainian border; they had contacts on the Ukrainian side.

A total of 11 people were detained. At least 93 people were killed in the attack.
