In the early hours of this Friday,
Russia launched a massive attack with missiles and drones against numerous regions of
Ukraine
that have caused victims and material damage in some of them, as reported by the regional authorities of the affected areas.
Pending the assessment of the Ukrainian Air Force, the Ukrinform news agency has reported explosions in
Zaporizhia
(southeast),
Dnipropetrovsk
(center),
Kharkiv and Sumi
(both in the northeast). In
Khmelnitsky
(western Ukraine), the attack has caused a yet to be determined number of deaths and injuries.
The explosions were recorded after the Ukrainian Air Force reported in the middle of the night the detection of Russian cruise and ballistic missiles heading towards Ukrainian territory under
Kiev
's control .
