The
11-month-old baby who fell from a fifth-floor window
in the Vitoria neighborhood of Salburua, and whose father has been arrested, has been transferred from the Txagorritxu hospital in Vitoria to the
Cruces
center in Vizcaya , which has a unit specialized in Pediatrics.
Sources from the Basque Department of Security have reported the transfer of the child, who
remains in critical condition.
The event took place at 4:45 p.m. this Thursday when the child fell into the void from the window of a fifth floor of a 15-story residential building
, without balconies or terraces,
located at the confluence of Avenida 8 de Marzo with Madrid street in the Salburua neighborhood.
Although it has not yet been determined exactly what could have happened,
the Local Police have arrested the 21-year-old father,
who has subsequently been placed at the disposal of the Ertzaintza, which has taken charge of the investigations to clarify the causes of the crime. baby fall
The man is being investigated as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of reckless injuries, although
if the baby finally dies he would be charged with the crime of reckless homicide,
according to the Security Department of the Basque Government.
The baby could have suffered

Initially the child was transferred in a mobile ICU to the Txagorritxu Hospital in the capital of Álava, but hours later he was taken to the Cruces Hospital, in Bizkaia, where there is a specialized Pediatrics unit.
