On March 21, local time, the 22nd batch of China’s peacekeeping medical detachment to Lebanon, at the invitation of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), sent medical staff to the southeastern border area of Lebanon to conduct free clinics and medicine donations.

The village of Ibil Sej, located in southeastern Lebanon, is less than 10 kilometers away from the temporary Lebanese-Israeli border. It has experienced years of war and a lack of medical resources.

On the 21st, our medical team dispatched 12 medical staff to form a medical assistance team of internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, etc., carrying a variety of instruments and medicines, and went to Ibilesegi Village to provide free physical examinations and medical treatment to the local people.

The medical staff of the 22nd batch of China's peacekeeping medical team sent to Lebanon Cheng Lu: The conditions of the medical room in the village are relatively simple. There is a medicine cabinet near the door with various medicines in it. Every time we come to the free clinic, we will replenish the missing medicines.

During this free clinic, the medical staff of our medical team treated 32 patients and distributed more than 90 boxes of various medicines. In addition to free clinics and donated medicines, medical staff also patiently explained the use and precautions of various medicines to local clinic doctors. In order to solve the problem of difficulty in medical treatment for villagers with limited mobility, our medical team specially formed a patrol team to provide door-to-door medical services.

Sebeka, the head of Ibilesegi Village: Thank you for providing urgently needed medicines to the patients in our village, which has effectively alleviated their pain and burden. Thank you again, I love China. (CCTV News Client)
