“We are talking about persons actively involved through the academic community and pro-Bandera structures in the campaign to praise Hitler’s collaborators from the OUN-UPA * and the Galicia division, including the shameful honoring in the Canadian parliament of the Nazi Ya. Gunko, businessmen and heads of companies who were involved to the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as active participants in the Russophobic campaign fanned by the authorities,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The department emphasized that the countermeasures are selective and clearly separate the people of Canada from their rulers.

Earlier, Russian Ambassador to Ottawa Oleg Stepanov called Canadian military assistance to Ukraine senseless.
