Media outlets affiliated with the Ansar Allah Houthi group in Yemen reported that American and British forces bombed sites in Sanaa and Hodeidah, while the American army said that it destroyed two ballistic missiles and a drone boat in areas under the group’s control.

The Houthi media said, on Friday evening, that American and British forces carried out raids on Sanaa, and also launched two raids on the Sardad farm in the Al-Kadan region, east of Hodeidah, in western Yemen.

Earlier, the US Central Command said in a statement that it destroyed two anti-ship ballistic missiles and a piloted boat.

The command added that the operation took place after confirming that these weapons represented an “imminent threat” to coalition ships and commercial ships in the region.

In support of the Palestinian resistance, the Houthi group has been targeting ships owned or operated by Israeli companies or transporting goods to and from Israel since the first weeks of the war on Gaza. The group expanded its attacks to include American and British ships after the start of raids on Yemen last January.

The Houthis said that they had targeted more than 70 ships since the start of operations in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden. They also announced the expansion of the scope of their operations to the Indian Ocean to prevent Israeli ships from sailing toward the Cape of Good Hope.
