“Today a terrible tragedy occurred. The entire theater community sympathizes with the victims of Crocus City Hall, their families and friends. As a sign of our support, we have decided not to hold any theatrical performances this weekend,” says a statement on behalf of Vladimir Mashkov, artistic director of the Moscow Theater Oleg Tabakov, director of the Taganka Theater Irina Apeksimova and artistic director of the Malaya Ordynka Theater Evgeniy Gerasimov.

At least 40 people died as a result of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, the Russian FSB reports. More than 100 people were injured.
